The 3rd Battalion Reserves was an unit of the UNSC Marine Corps stationed on the outer colony Camber.
History[]
In 2541, during the First Contact War, Camber was attacked by Fleetmaster Thel 'Vadamee and his Fleet of Particular Justice, which catched the 3rd Battalion Reserves, the local UNSC forces, completely unprepared. 'Vadamee then led a personal attack against the UNSC system headquarters, which was defended by the 3rd Battalion Reserves.
When 'Vadamee realized they were unprepared and unarmed, he gave them a chance to defend themselves, calling his soldiers to wait, before slaughtering them all. 'Vadamee's choice of sparing the Marines until they were able-bodied was the first documented proof of the sangheili honor code and system to humans.
