- - Aaron Cash to Batman
Captain Aaron Cash is a officer serving in the Gotham City Police Department. Formerly, Cash was a corrections officer at Arkham Asylum, where he had his hand eaten by King Shark, having to attach a hook into the missing part. During the Joker's takeover of the Asylum, Cash was saved by Batman, but he was soon fired by Warden Quincy Sharp for alleged incapacity to contain a mass outbreak. Becoming a medical corps member at Arkham City, he was used by Riddler in his death traps, until he was stopped by Batman. After going through hell twice, Aaron prepared to gave up until he was called upon by Commissioner James Gordon to be a GCPD Captain.

Early Life[]
Aaron Cash was born in July 30th, 1968 on Gotham City, New Jersey to a police officer. He married and had three children, two girls and one boy.
Early in his career, Aaron became an officer of the Gotham City Police Department, where he met Michael Valley. During the Blackgate Riots, Cash was not present at the GCPD reunions regarding the seven mercenaries hired by Black Mask to assassinate the masked vigilante Batman, as he was celebrating Christmas Eve with his family.
Some months later, the new GCPD Commissioner James Gordon introduced Cash to Batman, after the vigilante became unofficially affiliated with the police department in vein of the new rising threats to Gotham.
Life as an Arkham Guard[]
Cash eventually resigned from the GCPD seeking new soil, and was offered a job as a corrections officer at Arkham Asylum, which he accepted. After six months of work, he experienced his first escape attempt, at the hands of the Metahuman cannibal King Shark. He rushed to stop Croc, but he was bitten on his left hand by the hulking man, who violently tore it apart and ate it. Croc was later arrested again, but Aaron's hand was gone. He started to use a hook to compensate his loss.
