Some of my kind would think of humanity as filth that needs to be cleansed immediately. I do not. Some would think that defending the universe is pointless. I do not. Some would think that the only way to solve any problem, is by destroying it. I do not. My name is Adam Warlock, and I am a Guardian of the Galaxy.

History[]
The Rift[]
Adam Warlock is a member of the alien race of the Celestials. Whenever a female is impregnated, she is taken to the Universal Rift, a crossroads between two realities. Adam was born in the Rift, immediately imbued with its power. His parents abandoned him there, as do all Celestials, until he was two years old. After bathing in the power of the Rift for all that time, he was taken out by his parents, taken back to their home planet.
Raised Wrong[]
After returning to their home planet, Adam was placed in the hole, where all of the Celestial's beliefs were mentally implanted into his mind by the Great One. Very unlike any Celestial infant, Adam's mind began thinking for itself, which usually starts happening during maturity. When the High One discovered Adam's gift, he was taken by the Celestial army and they placed him in a cell where he was not allowed to move for years.
Escape and Corruption[]
After four years, Adam's mind was complete, it was whole. He began using his powers, which drew the attention of the Great One, who became disturbed. Guards were sent to put Adam down, but he was able to defeat them. After taking down an army of Celestials, Adam flew far away from his planet. It wasn't long until he encountered the alien conqueror known as Thanos, who used his infinity gems to corrupt Adam and turn him into his slave.
Guardians of the Galaxy[]
After three years of being Thanos's slave, the two of them encountered a group of heroes called the Guardians of the Galaxy, who battled Thanos in order to stop him from destroying the Dega System. When the hero known as Quasar entered Adam's mind, she cleared the fog put in by Thanos, and out of gratitude, he assisted them in defeating him, and even joined their team.
