- Radioactive Man
Dr. Chen Lu was a nuclear physicist who was experimenting on the effects of newly-discovered forms of radiation. He was soon caught in an accident that ended up giving him radiation-based powers. Going by the name Radioactive Man, Dr. Lu would attempt again and again to find a cure for his condition, desperation driving him into conflicts with superheroes, particularly Thor.
Calm and slightly aloof, Chen is slow to make friends. But he is a loyal teammate, and exhibits a dry wit with those he trusts. A person to bounce of off can serve to help him keep his temper, and he’s become conscientious about using his powers. A patriot, Lu has his griefs with the government, but has still decided to serve so as to protect the welfare of his people.
