Daibutsu was a shinobi from Amegakure and one of the members of the first iteration of the Akatsuki.
Biography[]
Daibutsu was one of the original members of the Akatsuki, then a small group consisting of himself, Yahiko, Konan, Nagato, and Kyusuke, bent on protecting the Land of Storms and bringing peace to the world.
The Akatsuki was eventually approached by a messenger from Hanzo, who invited them to meet him at his private residence. Although Kyusuke suspected this move, he followed Yahiko's will. His fears were confirmed once he got there, as Hanzo betrayed the group, as his men ambushed and killed Daibutsu and Kyusuke while mortally wounding Yahiko.
