Vance Astrovik was an agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. before being appointed leader of the Ultimates as 'Major Victory'.

Kinetic Energy Pulse: Vance is able to emit powerful bursts of kinetic energy from just about anywhere on his body. In combat, he uses this power to launch objects at opponents, most often his shield.
Kinetic Energy Absorption: In order to be able to generate kinetic pulses, Vance's body absorbs kinetic energy too. It does this passively by absorbing excess kinetic energy from his movements, but can also be done actively by 'drawing in' kinetic energy. If his energy stores are low enough, he can cause a single, large influx of energy towards him. He often focuses this ability on specific objects in order to pull them towards him (such as bringing his shield back after throwing it).
To outside observers unfamiliar with his abilities, it appears as though Vance has a form of telekinesis.
Paraphernalia[]
Major Victory Shield: Keeping with the 'new Captain America' theme, Vance carries a shield. The shield has a more traditional shape than Captain America's did. It's white with a blue SH.I.E.L.D. insignia spread across it, tweaked slightly so as to form a 'V' shape in reference to the 'Victory' part of the moniker.
Stark Shield Suit: A special suit based on an earlier design used by the Punisher, which greatly increases Vance's strength and speed. It's made from fabric, interlaced with nanotechnology to provide superhuman abilities, and adamantium fibres to make it bulletproof. Although it's the same technology as other Stark Shield Suits, it looks different to set him apart the Major Victory moniker as its own thing. Additionally, it has some armour plating, to minimise impacts from using his power to pull objects towards himself.

- Before being chosen to become Major Victory, Vance was originally going to be assigned to S.W.O.R.D., as a potential candidate for a long-distance space mission.
