Although this is not a sea creature, I am the one best suited to comment on it. Gate Guardians are vicious little cowards, hiding behind a false front so they can attack at will. It is bad enough the Visorak came to Metru Nui without bringing these foul creatures with them. 
Gate Guardians are predatory Rahi with illusory powers.
History[]
The history of the Gate Guardians is the same as their mainstream counterparts.
Description[]
These creatures have the ability to project an image of themselves about two or three times smaller than them, while their real body remains invisible. The projected image repeats the actions of the real Guardian. Enemies often exhaust themselves trying to defeat the small image when their true opponent is hiding from view.
