Grindalids are a worm-like sentient species, who have a natural weakness to sunlight; once their skin makes contact with the sun, it burns, inducing an aching pain.
History[]
During the First Order Era, Lady Proxima, a Grimdalid, became the leader of the White Worms, a major crime empire on Corellia. The species' vulnerability to light was explored by Peter Quill to escape from Proxima and her minions at her lair.
