The Heralds of Galaactus are a number of mysterious entities that are sent to worlds Galaactus plans on consuming, centuries in advance of its arrival.

Aztec Worship[]
In the early 1500's, a silver Herald arrived in the Aztec area of Mexico. It destroyed a small tribe upon impact, and reverted from its silver state to a black stone statue that stood in place. Several tribes discovered the statue and saw it as an image of death, worshipping it in hopes they would be spared. When the Aztec Empire was wiped out, the Herald continued to stand, with the energy gave off stopping plants from growing on it.
