Ivan Lantom was a well-known hitman who worked through numerous criminal organizations across Gotham City, starting with Carmine Falcone's Roman Empire and eventually moving to the Kingpin's business. He is the younger brother of the First Church of Gotham priest Father Amir Lantom. His distinction as a assassin waged on until the appearance of the Joker, whom Ivan eventually started working with while double crossing Kingpin. In a attempt to foil both and start his own criminal empire, Lantom was killed by the Joker while he tried to escape in a car, which was rigged to explode.
